Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me." ~ Matthew 25:35-36

Dear Parishioners:

I ask you to prayerfully reflect on the above Bible verse. As baptized Christians, all of us are called by the Lord to various ministries within the Church. God may be calling you to serve as a Eucharistic Minister to the sick and homebound. This ministry involves taking Holy Communion to fellow parishioners in their homes or nursing homes, because they are unable to attend Mass due to poor health.

This is a ministry filled with joy - the joy of making it possible for our sick and homebound parishioners to still participate in the Body of Christ, and the joy of being in the real presence of Jesus, who fills us with His grace.
