Food Pantry

The St. Bernard Food Pantry is staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers. By combining the expertise of professionals along with the enthusiasm and compassion of trained volunteers, the Food Pantry is able to efficiently serve the neediest families and children in our community. Some volunteers interview clients and determine their needs, while others prepare bags of food for the client. Our volunteers stock shelves and arrange items from various drives organized during the year.

NOTE:

  • New volunteers are always welcome.
  • No experience is necessary.
  • The only requirement is a kind and generous heart, and a willingness to practice the Corporal Works of Mercy -- These are the charitable actions by which we help our neighbors in their time of need: Feed the hungry; Give drink to the thirsty.

Donations

By the grace of God, we are able to help thousands of clients each year. The Food Pantry serves an average of 180 families each week. The good that we are able to accomplish is supported entirely by donations. We eagerly accept food donations from businesses, individuals and organizations throughout the community. If you are able to organize a food drive, please contact the Food Pantry. Food donations can be delivered directly to the Food Pantry during operating hours, or placed in the Food Pantry basket near the altar in the Church, or delivered to the Rectory.
